Cedar Wallet
Cedar gives everyday activity and protected savings different approval rules. You start with Pocket, a passkey wallet for routine use. When you want more protection, add Vault, an optional 2-of-3 wallet that can also recover Pocket after a lost passkey.
| Vault | ||
|---|---|---|
| Use it for | Daily sends and crypto apps | Protected balances and security changes |
| Normal approval | Passkey | Passkey + phone approval |
| Recovery | Available after Vault protects Pocket | Any two of its three approval methods |
| Where it works best | Web, iOS, and the Chrome extension | Cedar Wallet for iOS |
Start simply
Section titled “Start simply”- Create your Cedar account with a passkey.
- Activate Pocket when you are ready to send or connect to apps.
- Set up Vault only when you want two approvals and a recovery path.
You keep one logical Pocket and one optional logical Vault across Cedar’s supported networks. Switching networks changes the balances and activity you see; it does not create another wallet.
What Cedar can do
Section titled “What Cedar can do”- Receive and send native assets and supported ERC-20 tokens.
- Connect Pocket or Vault to crypto apps through the Chrome extension.
- Import a custom ERC-20 token by contract address.
- Protect Vault actions with two of three approval methods.
- Set token-specific Vault spending limits for Pocket.
- Replace a lost approval method when the other required methods remain.
Agent Wallet is next
Section titled “Agent Wallet is next”Agent Wallet is planned Cedar functionality and is not available today. It will have its own wallet and keys—never Pocket or Vault keys. The planned modes let an agent either act alone within explicit permissions and limits or require your passkey before acting.
Vault is planned as the authority that can pause Agent Wallet, revoke or rotate its keys, and support recovery. Recovery cannot reverse activity the agent already approved or completed.
