Spending limits
A spending limit defines how much of one Vault token may move to Pocket during a reset period. Creating or changing the rule needs Vault’s two approvals. Moving funds later stays inside that rule and needs only the Pocket passkey.
Use a limit for routine amounts you are comfortable making available under one approval method. Keep the remaining balance protected in Vault.
How limits work
Section titled “How limits work”- Each limit applies to one ERC-20 token and one network.
- Daily, weekly, monthly, and custom reset periods are available.
- Several token-specific limits can exist on the same network.
- Creating a limit does not move tokens automatically.
- Cedar displays token amounts, not estimated fiat value.
Cedar-listed and explicitly imported ERC-20 tokens can be used. Eligibility is not an endorsement of a token or its value.
Create or change a limit
Section titled “Create or change a limit”- In Cedar Wallet for iOS, open Vault → Spending limits.
- Select the network and token.
- Enter the amount and reset period.
- Review the rule, then complete the passkey and phone approvals.
- Follow the result in Activity.
To change or turn off a limit, open its detail and review the replacement rule or removal before approving. Raising a limit increases what the Pocket passkey can move without another phone approval.
Move funds to Pocket
Section titled “Move funds to Pocket”When an active limit has funds available, choose Move funds to Pocket, enter an amount or choose Max, then review the transfer. Your Pocket passkey supplies the approval because Vault already authorized the rule.
The action stays unavailable when the limit is off, Pocket is not ready, the period has no amount remaining, the token balance cannot be confirmed, or Vault does not hold enough of the token.
